Today was made excellent by a shop in Exeter called Book Cycle. The premise is that you can trade or donate towards a book, and they are stocked by books that have been donated or traded. All prices are donations, and the shop is staffed by volunteers. Today, I met Kit and Anthony who run Book Cycle, and I traded Philip Pullman in for a new model! Good business. Not a penny changed hands!
