Day 3 - Paris to The Hague

Chums, last nights show was a treat - the good people of Paris were good to us. Unfortunately, my use of words abandoned me, during a lengthy gap between songs due to an electrical problem, i resorted to shouting the 3 words that the French Republic was built on… “liberte”, “fraternite”, “egalite”. It was met with a further pause and a distinctly French mix of bemusement and disdain!

After the show we seemed to drive the entire girth of the city to get to the biggest collection of high rise flats I’ve ever seen. Reza and I took the stairs at speed, just because we can. The others got into a lift that is best described as a flying cupboard, two at a time. 40 minutes later we all made it to the flat.

4 hours sleep later, we were back in the van, crossing 3 countries in 7 hours. Seb, for whom the ballad “Circle of Life” was rumoured to have been written, drove nonstop to bring us to The Hague, in Holland. We’re currently ensconced in Gerrit’s house, overlooking the canal, admiring his extensive Oi vinyl collection, and dreaming of political justice, dished out in this fine city.
